Opportunity Overview: Electrical Planner - Diablo Canyon, San Luis Obispo, CA – Long Term Contract Role Are you interested in being part of an innovative team that supports Westinghouse's mission to provide clean energy solutions? WECTEC Staffing/Westinghouse has a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Planner to support the Digital Modernization Project work with Westinghouse at Diablo Canyon Power Plant in San Luis Obispo, CA This is a long term contract, expected to run through the Spring of 2028.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or nuclear engineering preferred but not required
- In lieu of engineering degree, experience in nuclear projects will be considered
- Current Qualifications for Planning APS
- 8 + years of experience in the Electrical /I&C nuclear field
- Experience with nuclear fuel products, fuel manufacturing, licensing, safety analysis, nuclear design engineering
- Must pass background check for nuclear clearance
Responsibilities
- Take Approved Design/Engineering Change Package and develop Work Order and write work steps for field implementation
- Field Engineering support to walkdown the modification
- Opportunity for constructability
- Develop BOM (Bill of Material) for ordering of parts and issuance to the project
