About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill an Electrical Planner III, Nuclear position for our client. Location: Richland, WA Duration: 12 months Duties: Plan and prepare electrical work packages for nuclear projects, supporting both large- and small-scale initiatives Ensure all work is executed safely, reliably, and efficiently in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Develop detailed work instructions for electrical and contract maintenance teams to support project execution and plant modifications Identify, select, and recommend procurement of materials required for work package execution Perform field walkdowns to evaluate maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities and improve work package quality Collaborate with Work Management, Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering to resolve planning and execution issues Define required procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials for planned work packages Prepare and submit required documentation including RWPs, barrier impairments, fire impairments, operability impact statements, ALARA evaluations, and regulatory/code documentation Ensure compliance with station procedures, NEC codes, and applicable standards Review and approve work packages to ensure safety, technical accuracy, and compliance with 10CFR50.59 requirements where applicable Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to support effective planning and compliance with codes, standards, and vendor recommendations Provide coordination and oversight to other planners or contractors supporting work package development Participate in scheduling and work control meetings, planning feedback sessions, troubleshooting activities, maintenance risk assessments, clearance reviews, and peer reviews

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with work management and planning systems
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Working knowledge of nuclear power plant work management and planning processes
  • Understanding of safety regulations in a power generation environment
  • Knowledge of ALARA principles and radiation protection practices
  • Familiarity with nuclear security operations, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to obtain Planner I qualification
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in a technical field such as maintenance, engineering, operations, or maintenance planning (based on education level)
  • Proven experience preparing detailed work packages in a regulated environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years of relevant technical experience
  • OR Associate degree and eight years of relevant technical experience
  • OR High school diploma or GED with technical training/apprenticeship and six years of relevant experience
  • OR High school diploma or GED and ten years of relevant technical experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered (education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis)
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

  • Experience in nuclear plant environments and electrical systems planning preferred
