About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is growing, and we're looking for a dedicated and skilled Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team at our Broadway facility in Hanover, PA. This position is for our Weeknight Shift, working Sunday to Wednesday, 5:40 PM - 5:50 AM. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing essential food manufacturing equipment, including motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and baking equipment, sheeters, and extruders. Requirements

• Requires knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical and electronic applications acquired through a minimum of five years of experience.
• Ability to read electrical prints and schematics.
• Ability to lift objects up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet.
• Ability to distinguish colors.

Nice To Haves

• Packaging machine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment (motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and baking equipment, sheeters, extruders, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines electronic scales, programmable logic controllers) etc.
• Coordinates and completes installation and wiring of manufacturing equipment (pumps, fans, blowers and relay panels, etc.).
• Prepares, coordinates, and implements preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and repairs various types of lighting.
• Independently installs conduit, EMT, and sealtite to all equipment.
