About The Position

The Electrical/Mechanical Assembler works from drawings and wiring schematics to assemble, build, test, repair and inspect standard and custom industrial marking equipment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • 3+ years of previous electromechanical experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary. (Only for hourly employees)

Responsibilities

  • Checks, assembles, repairs, tests and inspects industrial printing equipment.
  • Adjusts and tunes equipment within extremely close tolerance and part specifications to provide excellent service and reliability according to established procedures and methods.
  • Assembles standard and custom products in strict sequence guided by drawings, routings, or verbal instructions.
  • Creates and loads serial number records and estimates of repairs into the computer using the SAP operating system.
  • Suggests product improvements, procedural changes and/or new methods of control or testing.
  • Maintains departmental records and reports on inventory of spare parts and related items necessary to maintain acceptable workflow.
  • Loads and tests software and interfaces packages onto standard and custom equipment.
  • Maintains equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
