About The Position

Cleveland-Cliffs Tubular Components has an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Technician at our Walbridge, OH location. The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, replacing, adjusting, installing, wiring, and maintaining all electrical equipment in the plant or assigned area and working hand in hand with hourly maintenance on any electrical or mechanical malfunction. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix and RS500. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge and Competence in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC controls and functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of experience working in an industrial environment performing electrical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of high frequency welders – preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assist with implementation of predictive maintenance plans.
  • Safely create workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Troubleshoot and develop technical solutions related to software and setup errors.
  • Install new industrial electrical systems from conduit to landing wires.
  • Read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Install and provide technical support for hardware and software pertaining to the operation of the equipment.
  • Manage functions requiring Allen Bradley ControlLogix and RS500.
  • Perform other duties for electrical and electronics repair as assigned.
  • Organize and assist with maintenance projects.
  • Order and maintain inventory of electrical supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
