Reporting to the Manager of Facilities Maintenance and working closely with a licensed electrician, this role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and installation of electrical systems and equipment. This role will support both new projects and ongoing maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and optimizing system performance across the facility. An existing electrical license is desired, but the successful candidate will have existing electrical training (certification, class or practical) to build on and will be encouraged to pursue licensure with company support.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field or 2-5 years' experience.
  • Electrical License strongly preferred.
  • Existing electrical training through certification, classroom or practical experience will be considered in lieu of license.
  • 2–5 years of experience as an electrical technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience with electrical system design, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support for validation and maintenance of production equipment, utilities and systems – This includes existing systems and new installations / upgrades.
  • Monitors quality and system standards to ensure reliability and compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Assists with documentation for validation procedures and technical reports related to systems, products and/or processes.
  • Conducts feasibility studies and cost estimates for electrical installations and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of electrical designs, schematics, and maintenance records.
  • Oversees contractors and vendors during installation and maintenance activities (PMs & CMs).
  • Working both independently and alongside a licensed electrician, responsible for supporting all electrical infrastructure across the facility - This includes power distribution, control systems, and automation.
  • Accountable for ensuring electrical systems meet operational requirements and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to support equipment at all stages of its lifecycle.
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability goals.
