Clearance Requirement: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret SCI with Poly clearance. Shift Availability: This position includes openings for two 12-hour shifts: Day Shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM Candidate shift preferences will be considered based on current staffing needs and availability.

  • Ensure that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the facility are operating at peak efficiency.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.
  • Serve as an expert technical resource reporting to a program manager, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third-party vendors.
  • Render assistance in administration and regulation of the duties of junior technicians and provide oversight of contractors’ roles for electrical duties.
  • Analyze systems requirements, conduct research on equipment and procedures, and recommend modifications to new and existing systems.
  • Install new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines.
  • Utilize safe working practices; apply lockout/tagout, MSDS, and good housekeeping methods.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to malfunctioning electronic units.
  • Perform maintenance, installations, and service repairs on critical data center systems and all industrial electrical equipment.
  • Utilize appropriate test equipment, including infrared scanning and vibration analyzing meter, to perform diagnostics.
  • Perform daily walk-through of facility documenting parameters such as power availability, temperature and humidity, alarm status.
  • Manage mechanical and electrical systems in emergency situations including HVAC components and power distribution equipment.
  • Identify required materials and parts for maintenance and repair; prepare and present cost estimates for parts, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain relationships with all major vendor accounts.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee all critical environment vendors during maintenance, emergency, and break/fix events.
  • Set up and operate electrical data capturing devices.
  • Create required MOPs and SOPs; perform periodic technical and quality reviews of all MOPs and SOPs.
  • Collect and generate internal and vendor field service reports describing all activities performed at the facility.
  • Develop reliability reports to assist in identifying areas for increased efficiency or to mitigate unplanned downtime.
  • Conduct training with junior technicians and other staff personnel on electrical equipment/system for maintenance, repairs, and operation.
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret SCI with Poly clearance.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, floor plans, construction documents, safety requirements, and OEM operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Organize safe maintenance principles for regulating and scheduling planned and unplanned activities.
  • Operate and inspect emergency power generation and reliability equipment.
  • Ability to utilize hand tools and test equipment to perform maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of power density and parity with HVAC system capacities.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems and their components.
  • Must be committed to excellence and generate a high quality of work.

  • Licensed or Certified by a national or state certification program at the Master or Journeyman level, preferred.
