About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I will assist with routine maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and support the repair and upkeep of equipment under the guidance of senior maintenance personnel. This role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians while contributing to the safe and efficient operation of facility systems and machinery. Requirements Key Responsibilities:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a maintenance role or similar position (previous experience in a manufacturing or facilities maintenance environment is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding safety standards and the ability to follow safety procedures during maintenance tasks.
  • Strong willingness to learn, develop new skills, and work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting to 50 pounds and working in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.
  • Ability to take directions from senior maintenance staff and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills and certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or coursework in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance tasks and processes.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
  • Basic computer skills to document maintenance activities, access work orders, and track parts and inventory.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS) is a plus.
