About The Position

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor oversees the electrical maintenance activities, ensuring the reliable operation of all electrical systems and equipment within the plant. This role involves supervising electrical maintenance initiatives and staff, coordinating electrical repairs and preventive maintenance, and implementing safety standards to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily electrical maintenance operations to ensure machinery and equipment are operating effectively and safely.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Promote a culture of safety and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory.
  • Prepare and present reports on maintenance performance, costs, and equipment status to management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute electrical upgrades and installations.
  • Manage external contractors and vendors for specialized electrical work.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in electrical maintenance practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest electrical technologies and industry best practices.
  • Implement innovative solutions to improve maintenance processes and reduce costs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
