About The Position

The Electrical Maintenance Specialist position in Clinton, IA is a full-time, exempt role focused on ensuring compliance with safety standards and promoting initiatives within the maintenance department. The specialist will provide technical support for electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance, while also working closely with engineering teams to develop innovative maintenance strategies for electrical equipment. The role includes mentoring electrical skilled crafts and contractors, writing and updating maintenance procedures, and participating in the development of maintenance strategies for electrical assets. The specialist will also support the execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) processes and maintain communication between maintenance, engineering, and technical projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance with assets such as MCC's, Switchgear, transformers working with voltages greater than 480V.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team environment.
  • Accurate and dependable with a positive demeanor and adaptability in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Training and/or experience with the basics of planning and scheduling.
  • Understanding of root cause analysis and other basics of system knowledge.
  • Detail-oriented with maintenance experience rebuilding/maintaining electrical assets.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience working with voltages greater than 480V.

Responsibilities

  • Comply fully with local and ADM's safety standards and promote initiatives.
  • Help ensure the maintenance department meets goals for safety and health, environment, product quality, processing, costs, and efficiency.
  • Ensure a good understanding of current standard methodologies and deploy those agreed to in the business.
  • Provide technical support for electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Work with Engineering Teams to develop innovative ways for maintaining new and existing electrical equipment.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to electrical skilled crafts and contractors on Reliability Strategies and Technologies.
  • Write and update maintenance procedures and all pertinent documents.
  • Participate in the development of maintenance strategies for electrical assets.
  • Support execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) process on existing electrical assets.
  • Develop and modify job plans to follow best maintenance practices.
  • Maintain communications between maintenance, engineering, and technical projects.
  • Work with the Reliability Engineer to integrate PM's and predictive/diagnostic work into the Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Audit compliance for Quality Precision Maintenance into the Maintenance Program.
  • Create bill of material for electrical assets.
  • Adhere to all ADM and NFPA 70E electrical safety guidelines.
  • Build and design job packages including scheduling of testing and repair of electrical assets.
