About The Position

Position Summary: The Electrical-Maintenance Repair Technician provides general maintenance and electrical repair support to production operations to maintain operating efficiency. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing complex electrical-mechanical issues and developing safe work plans to ensure continuous operational success.

Requirements

  • Analytical skills to identify root causes of electrical-mechanical problems.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands.
  • Proficiency in learning ERP systems such as Plex.
  • 6-10 years of experience in heavy manufacturing or journeyman certification.
  • Extensive experience with A.J. Rose Manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical knowledge equivalent to journeyman certification.
  • Electrical knowledge equivalent to an electrical technician/installer.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and assessment.
  • Proficiency in using testing tools and power equipment.
  • Knowledge of circuitry (240V, 400V 3-phase) and facilities electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Use ammeters, multimeters, and other equipment to test connections, trace circuits, and ensure the compatibility and safety of components.
  • Maintain wiring, fuses, contactors, relays, and other components for manufacturing equipment.
  • Replace circuit breakers, fuses, switches, relays, electrical and electronic components, and wire.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze equipment failures using electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Periodically inspect all equipment to ensure it is operating properly and address issues before breakdowns occur.
  • Respond to facility emergencies and equipment breakdowns promptly.
  • Perform lock-out on equipment as needed to ensure safety.
  • Analyze PLC programs using a PC to troubleshoot issues.
  • Work with low voltage systems, DC/AC motors, VFDs, encoders, and transducers.
  • Read schematics and basic ladder logic to identify and resolve problems.
  • Maintain facilities electrical systems, including HVAC systems.
  • Consult with Electronic Technicians and Electrical Engineers as needed.
  • Assist in training junior employees to build departmental expertise.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the supervisor to support operational goals.
