About The Position

POSITION PURPOSEThis position will primarily be responsible for millwright work including performing preventative maintenance on plant equipment, trouble shoot, diagnose and repair damaged or worn equipment as well as rebuild spare parts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform the essential functions of a millwright with extensive welding applicationsPerform maintenance engineering functions and repairs for all plant mechanical equipment. The equipment includes: conveyor roll tables, high pressure water descale systems, hydraulically actuated equipment, large rotating and rolling equipment, water cooling systems, shears, and material handling equipment. Perform structural repairs to buildings, platforms, machinery, utility piping and structures at times in elevated positions. Level and align equipment Install modifications to existing equipment as required Assist in the development of solutions to operating problems and improvements to the processes as required Perform administrative tasks as may be assigned from time to time QUALIFICATIONSCompetencies and Experience Required: The position requires the candidate to be able to read, comprehend and follow drawings, and be able toWork in a team-oriented facilityPossess extensive experience in welding and oxy fuel cutting Possess experience in safe rigging practices Follow all standard operating procedures and safe operating practice Minimum Microsoft Office suite computer skillsWelding certifications plate / pipe etc.Must be trained and certified to operate man lifts, forklifts and overhead cranes Must be able to work in contact with greases, petroleum base oils and cleansing agents Preferred: 4-year trade school preferred with focus on mechanical maintenance and welding 5-10 years’ experience in equipment mechanical machinery maintenance in the metals Industry. Requirements
