This position will balance efforts between production maintenance support and improvement projects. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum five (5) years relevant work experience in Maintenance and Engineering.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience troubleshooting and programming of PLC’s specifically Allen Bradley.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience with servo valves, cartridge valves, switch plate pumps, Vickers Action Packs.
  • Demonstrated strong E&I background including retrofitting gauges and meters onto equipment.
  • Proficient in installation and troubleshooting encoders, servo motors, VFDs, PLC controllers, Bluetooth, Data Highway (legacy), Ethernet systems, electric actuators, valves, gauges, meters, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in extrusion, casting and fabrication operations is preferred.
  • Design, or supervisory design experience in electrical systems, mostly 480VAC.
  • Experience interfacing shopfloor level machinery with enterprise level control systems & ERP's
  • Microsoft Project, Excel, AutoCad, Solid works experience
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills in English, bi-lingual preferred, but not required
  • Lean Manufacturing principles including waste reduction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, engineer and operate equipment as needed to ensure world class OEE and 100% adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Assist engineering with new equipment designs, modifications and installations including project management of upgrades, modifications or new installations.
  • Analyze productions data, implementing and sustaining improvements in all facets of the extrusion, anodize and fabrication processes and fabrication processes to meet/exceed production goals.
  • Provide PLC troubleshooting and programming to support all plant equipment.
