Performs supervisory responsibilities for managing all aspects of electrical installations during construction of a project from the ground up. Plans, assigns, schedules, and supervises electrical crews through all aspects of construction, directing Leadman, Journeyman electricians, and helpers engaged in the projects new installation, maintenance, electrical repairs, and warranty items. · Participates along with Project Manager and Superintendent in tracking the projects, labor projections and material costs required for a successful project, maintains job records as-builts and submits reports, initiates requisition for supplies, tools, and equipment. · DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Enforces safety regulations, rules and working conditions. - Plan and prepare proper Temporary Power plan - Layout contract drawings or work with BIM personnel to have a proper underground, electrical room layout, and all systems installation drawings - Update and submit weekly 2- or 4-week manpower plan / review with lead journeyman / review with project manager / review with Superintendent - Monitor and update percent completes weekly and review areas with each lead area journeyman - Collect and review daily reports / Southwest & General Contractors - Review Jobsite cleanliness / have enough Trash Gondolas and Ensure daily clean up from crews - Maintain a Clean and organized Connex and Material staging areas - Maintain a Clean and organized Office / Office Job Trailer / Tool Connex - Review Jobsite Material staging within 50 ft from crew work areas to eliminate employee traveling - Review jobsite Tool staging area for more effectiveness - Have enough Jobsite radios for communication and avoid cell phone use - Ensure all company tools are secured and that all tools are chained and locked at the end of the day - Manage how and when tools to be picked up and removed from jobsite to eliminate cost - Manager all Rental equipment / maintain an accurate Equipment rental log - Maintain a current updated progress drawings / As-builts - Maintain a current RFI log - Maintain a current Fixture log - Maintain a current Gear log - Maintain a current Torque and conductor Insulation resistance report - Ensure that project is built to requirements and specifications established by construction documents and per current NEC - Implement all QA/QC documents - Identify individual talent and experience of field crew, place and assign duties for most effective results out of each employee - Complete and review with employee performance evaluations every 6 months, review with Superintendent and submit to HR - Manage Daily Production sheets (To submit Totals on data entry ) - Manage and Enter time sheets for employees per cost codes - Order Materials in a timely manner Never run out - Manage Back orders and hold the suppliers accountable - Maintain a good record of packing slips - Manage Subcontractors accordingly and monitor their progress and completions - Assist and participate on all Southwest training classes
