About The Position

Responsible for supervising and coordinating the electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities at jobsites.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one or more years' of related experience in construction
  • Or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principles
  • Read blueprints skillfully
  • Must possess strong communication and management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and work within timelines
  • Read, comprehend and write simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Present information in small group situations to customers and other employees
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures and lead team to do the same
  • Lead and supervise a team of electricians and laborers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  • Ensure that the workers under them do their job skillfully and efficiently
  • Monitor the progress of electrical installations to ensure quality control and timely completion of tasks
  • Provide technical direction and troubleshooting support to the team for electrical issues, including system integration and wiring challenges
  • Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine material requirements and work schedules
  • Assist in the coordination of materials, tools, and equipment needed for electrical work
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures
  • May train new workers and also assist in jobsite orientation
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory usage, and any changes to project scope
  • Preplan daily activities and monitor tasks
  • Complete required employee documentation when required
  • Required to travel to different jobsites on a limited notice
