  • Coordinate daily electrical/instrumentation/controls activities to support the project with the client’s onsite representatives for a turbine replacement and comprehensive turbine rehabilitation.
  • Refurbish generator poles and replace generators where appropriate.
  • Replace instrumentation and controls to cover control systems for the units at the plant by implementing the client model needs.
  • Address communications systems local to the plant, river system or area and corporate networks for remote connectivity.
  • Manage electrical balance of plant systems including replacement of line breakers, generator breakers, excitation, protective relaying, station service transformers, cable bus and switchgear and AC and DC panels.
  • Plan demolition and removal of existing conduit tray and abandoned cable to accommodate new cable and equipment.
  • Modify or replace mechanical balance of plant systems including cooling water, service water, potable water, and various oil and air systems.
  • Plan demolition and removal of equipment and skid to be replaced or abandoned.
  • Implement rehabilitation of surfaces in demolished areas as necessary.
  • Oversee civil infrastructure including trash racks, head gates, spillway gates, and powerhouse crane.
  • Respond to site/project conditions on behalf of the client’s onsite representatives in a timely manner.
  • Report any incidents, unsafe conditions, unusual activities, or unforeseen circumstances to the client onsite representative.
  • Support the construction management schedule, including any necessary excess straight time/overtime on nights or weekends.
  • Assist site management with contractor oversight and contract administration.
  • Document daily activities and interactions with contractors through the Daily Log form in Unifier.
  • Attend and participate in necessary project meetings.
  • Coordinate and facilitate receipt of material and/or equipment delivery as designated by the client representative.
  • Ensure contractors follow and adhere to all LOTO and confirmed space procedures.
  • Assist the client with development of scopes of work for competitive inquiries.
  • Assist the client in year-end contractor evaluations and contract closeout activities.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is highly preferred.
  • General Contractors License is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant industrial construction management or project related experience.
  • Ability to lead a small team to deliver on commitments.
  • Knowledge of the Hargrove project execution procedures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in complex project management.
  • Ability to manage client relationships in complex situations.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Coaching and mentoring skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with team orientation.
  • Ability to handle stress with poise.
