About The Position

The Electrical Integration Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of cable integration and bench test systems for robotics applications. This role requires close collaboration with engineering teams and suppliers to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of cable assemblies and related components. This role is best suited for an engineer who enjoys hands-on work in the lab, including building, testing, and troubleshooting hardware in addition to producing design documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent required
  • Strong written and verbal English language communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design schematics and layouts for simple, low-complexity pass-through PCBAs to support robot cable integration and bench test systems (e.g., flat packs, NFF rigs).
  • Create detailed EE systems and manage revision control through red-line DFM (Design for Manufacturability) exercises.
  • Assist full-time engineering staff with wiring diagram creation and revisions as required.
  • Manage in-stock inventory of raw materials for hands-on, in-house cable production.
  • Oversee and participate in manufacturing cables to print as needed.
  • Lead hands-on test evaluations and troubleshooting activities to support full-time engineering teams, including debug PCB bring up.
  • Develop and execute test plans for EE system and related systems.
  • Interface with suppliers to ensure EE components are manufactured to specification and delivered on schedule.
  • Address DFM-related questions from suppliers in support of engineering teams.
  • Ensure all cable assemblies and related work comply with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
  • Maintain personal IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification and support team compliance efforts.
  • Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
  • Validate that benches, equipment, and personnel follow appropriate ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of ESD-safe workspaces.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in EE design, manufacturing, and testing.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
  • Participate actively in “all hands on deck” build scenarios to unblock issues and ensure project success, including hands-on support when needed, regardless of primary responsibilities.
