The E/I Technician will service and maintain technologically advanced equipment and systems for a world-class pulp and paper manufacturing facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Employee must perform safe and timely repairs to plant equipment in areas of electrical and instrument maintenance. Example duties could include, but are not limited to: Calibrate instrumentation devices using specialized test equipment and software Responds to trouble calls and emergencies, both during and outside normal work hours Preventive and breakdown maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration and installation of Instrumentation and Controls Must continually improve operation of new and existing equipment Repair, maintain and troubleshoot electrical automation systems and equipment, drive systems, robotic systems, microprocessor-based (PLC) systems and electronic control systems and devices Maintains proper documentation, which includes computer printouts and system drawings. Responsible for troubleshooting the following: hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, control circuits, digital electronics, electrical, VFD, power supplies, computers, power distribution and Honeywell TDC 2000 and 3000 systems (such devices as: highway gateways, data highway ports, generic gateways, multifunction controllers, application modules, operator consoles and associated printers) Understand operation of control loops, including an understanding of PLCs(GE Series VI, AB PLC SLCs, and Siemens)
