LotusWorks is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, and preservation of critical equipment in a high-tech semiconductor facility. This role is essential in ensuring systems remain reliable, safe, and compliant with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers and vendors in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems including MV/LV distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, and transformers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and perform root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with CMMS or asset management systems for maintenance tracking and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards including LOTO and NFPA 70/70E.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively in high-pressure or outage scenarios.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Journeyman Electrician License required.

Nice To Haves

  • NFPA 70E training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment (e.g., MV/LV distribution, switchgear, breakers, transformers, UPS systems) in accordance with site procedures and client standards.
  • Support commissioning and turnover by reviewing, verifying, and updating electrical equipment records within the client’s operational systems (e.g., asset management/CMMS).
  • Execute electrical preservation activities on de-energized or non-operational systems to ensure equipment integrity and readiness for energization.
  • Perform and document Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), safe state verification, and zero-energy checks prior to maintenance or energization activities.
  • Identify and escalate vendor-required maintenance or warranty-related issues to site leadership (FCE/FFO) to coordinate vendor support and site access.
  • Collaborate with engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to troubleshoot electrical issues, review procedures, and ensure compliance with site standards.
  • Respond to electrical faults, alarms, and unplanned outages; perform initial diagnostics, implement corrective actions where appropriate, and escalate critical issues as needed.
  • Conduct routine electrical rounds and readings on panels, switchgear, and associated systems (e.g., voltage, current, temperature, IR scans where applicable) to ensure system reliability.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, NFPA 70/70E, and site-specific EHS requirements.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities, findings, and corrective actions in site systems and logs.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying reliability risks, maintenance gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
