About The Position

Phoenix Paper Wickliffe LLC is searching for qualified candidates to assume the role of Electrical & Instrumentation (E/I) Mechanic. Summary: This position is an opportunity to be part of a stable, rapidly expanding organization that offers a tremendous amount of growth potential. The successful candidates will provide effective support for specific projects in the Maintenance department. This is a multi-craft position with primary Electrical and Instrumentation experience, Mechanical work may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Electrical Power Engineering, Computer Electronics or related field or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with electronic and pneumatic process instrumentation, A/C and D/C variable speed drives and industrial power distribution systems.
  • Must be safety conscious.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs. regularly.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
  • Must have excellent verbal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs, maintains, and installs electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment.
  • Inspects and tests electrical/instrumentation equipment as required.
  • Installs pneumatic, electronic, and other instrumentation equipment.
  • Installs fixtures, motors and other electrical equipment.
  • Disassembles malfunctioning electrical/instrumentation equipment, troubleshoots and tests mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
  • Operates distributive controls and programmable controllers to diagnose control problems.
  • Assists with planning layouts, running conduit, wiring and tubing both new and existing installations.
  • Assists with developing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs.
  • Performs mechanical maintenance tasks.
  • Assists with any other duties/projects given by supervisor(s).
