About The Position

Electrical Instructor Position Overview: A qualified expert in the electric field to provide engaging and thorough instruction to novice men and women enrolled in our 6-week stackable course curriculum. Instructor will ensure students’ mastery of the information presented within the given course.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the electrical field with proficient or expert knowledge in the subject area
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong verbal and basic written communication skills
  • Basic arithmetic and organizational skills to track student performance and grades
  • Ability to effectively instruct and support adult learners with limited prior experience
  • Willingness to be coached and develop instructional skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and reliability
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and industry partners
  • Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, and presentation software
  • Experience developing instructional materials and assessing student performance
  • Strong observation and listening skills to identify and support student learning needs
  • The instructor must possess strong working knowledge of the electrical field, including industry standards, safety practices, tools, and real-world applications relevant to entry-level learners.
  • This role requires an understanding of basic instructional methods and adult learning principles to effectively deliver course content.
  • Knowledge of classroom and hands-on training techniques, student assessment practices, and record-keeping for attendance and grades is essential.
  • Familiarity with current industry trends and a commitment to staying up to date with advancements in the electrical trade are also required.
  • The instructor must be able to clearly communicate technical concepts to students with little to no prior experience, both verbally and in writing.
  • This role requires the ability to develop and deliver engaging instruction, assess student comprehension, and provide constructive feedback that supports skill development and mastery.
  • Strong organizational skills are needed to manage lesson plans, student work, and course materials.
  • The instructor must be able to work collaboratively with staff, industry partners, and students, demonstrate professionalism and integrity at all times, and remain coachable with a willingness to continuously improve teaching and instructional skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting classroom and hands-on training sessions for students
  • Developing and delivering engaging learning instruction
  • Providing guidance and support to students throughout their learning journey
  • Assessing student performance and providing feedback
  • Collaborating and coordinating with other industry leaders, staff and students to enhance the training program
  • Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in relevant fields
  • Recording students’ attendance and grades
