The Electrical Trades Department at Alfred State College is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join the Construction and Maintenance Electrician program as an instructor on our Wellsville campus for the 2025-2026 academic year. This role requires a strong foundation in AC/DC electrical theory and applied mathematics, along with extensive hands-on experience in residential and commercial wiring, conduit and raceway layout/design, and bending calculations. A thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and proficiency with electrical instrumentation and test equipment is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership experience with mid-sized work crews (20+), proficiency in both lecture-based and hands-on laboratory instruction, and the ability to manage live work projects at off-campus job sites. Responsibilities also include student advising, record keeping, purchasing, committee participation, and recruitment activities. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is preferred.
