Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of service or construction experience required in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse electrical service issues
  • Must be highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field in ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property
  • Must be team oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers
  • Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS
  • A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • A valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier
  • Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule and on call schedule

Responsibilities

  • Install and/or Upgrade a wide variety of electrical components ranging from generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc. in an efficient and productive manner
  • Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers' homes, apartments, and businesses as needed including presenting options and collecting for jobs completed
  • Communicate with Dispatch, Supervisors, and Customers throughout projects about time frames, change orders, etc.
  • Must provide a safe and clean work environment to protect property of others and fellow coworkers
  • Coordinate with utility service providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established
  • Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned tools
  • Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all times
  • Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried
  • Perform other duties as assigned
