Electrical Inspector
About The Position
The Department of Transportation and Public Works is looking for an Electrical Inspector to join their team. This position is responsible for performing inspections of electrical systems and components and/or related sites to determine compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, standards, plans, and specifications. This position will work out of the West County Satellite Office located at Clarkson and Wilson Roads. The typical starting salary range is between $23.10 - $27.72 hourly depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience as well as budgetary considerations. Requirements
- Five years of increasingly responsible experience in the electrical trade or completion of a formal course of training as an electrician apprentice; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

- Applicants must possess a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Inspects and evaluates electrical construction and installation by making detailed examinations of electrical systems and equipment, materials, methods, and practices used in construction, preparing accurate reports, maintaining records, preparing violation notices and testifying in court.
- Enforces codes and ordinances for electrical construction and installation.
- Communicates inspection findings to appropriate parties.
- Performs related work as required.
