We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. Requirements

  • Michigan Electrical Inspector certification required
  • Additional state certifications are a plus
  • Experience in municipal code inspections preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive knowledge of local electrical building codes and current construction procedures and technology
  • Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment
  • Skill in prioritizing and executing assignments with limited supervision
  • Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Perform field inspections during various stages of construction
  • Review plans and specifications for commercial, industrial, and residential projects to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Perform Rental Housing inspections in accordance with municipal ordinances and regulations
  • Report violations and maintain files/records
  • Perform other related duties as required
