About The Position
The Electrical Inspector works under the supervision of the Chief Building Official. This position is responsible for establishing priorities and work schedules, inspecting and certifying wiring and cables for safety and compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, and coordinating inspections with various departments. The inspector also responds to citizen complaints, maintains reports and records of inspections, and stays updated on changes affecting various codes. The position requires a commitment to professional service and may involve emergency responses outside of normal business hours.
