About The Position
The position requires certification as an Electrical Inspector General in the State of Kentucky. The role involves inspecting electrical installations in both residential and commercial structures throughout the year to ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and ordinances. The inspector will issue violation notices, prepare inspection reports, and discuss inspections and code interpretations with the public. The job also includes performing tests using amp meters and volt probes to determine compliance with standards, and authorizing utility companies to begin or resume electrical service.
