As a trusted electrical distributor, we partner with contractors, builders, and commercial customers to deliver the products and solutions needed to keep projects on schedule and operations running smoothly. We are seeking an Electrical Inside Sales Representative to support our contractor and commercial customer base in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will work closely with customers, vendor partners, and outside sales teams to provide responsive service, accurate quoting, and solutions that help customers complete their projects successfully. This role is ideal for someone with experience in electrical distribution, contractor sales, or inside sales, or a motivated professional looking to build a career in electrical supply and construction sales.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in electrical distribution, contractor sales, counter sales, or inside sales preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and business systems
• Bachelor’s degree or a pattern of continuing education preferred.
• High degree of knowledge of electrical distribution operations and/or similar product knowledge; two or more years of experience in operations, counter sales or in the electrical distribution industry preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks at own initiative with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serving as a primary point of contact for contractor and commercial customer accounts
• Preparing quotes and managing customer orders, changes, and delivery coordination
• Providing pricing, product availability, and order support for electrical materials
• Supporting outside sales representatives with project quotes and customer needs
• Sourcing non-stock products and coordinating with vendor partners and purchasing teams
• Tracking open orders and expediting shipments to meet jobsite timelines
• Communicating proactively with customers regarding order status, delays, and solutions
• Identifying opportunities to recommend additional products or alternatives that support customer project needs
• Collaborating with internal teams—including operations, finance, and materials management—to ensure accurate and timely delivery
