About The Position

The Electrical Industrial Field Service Technician (High Voltage) at Power Electronics is responsible for the commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of heavy electrical equipment, particularly solar inverters. This role requires strong electrical skills and a customer-focused approach to provide outstanding technical support to clients across the globe. The technician will work on-site at photovoltaic solar plants, ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Mid-level electrical experience with a focus on high voltage systems.
• Strong electrical aptitude and hands-on skills in troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical systems.
• Flexibility and attentiveness to customer needs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with solar inverters and photovoltaic systems.
• Knowledge of safety protocols in electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at customers' photovoltaic solar plants.
• Diagnose and repair faulted inverters in the field, including troubleshooting and replacement of components such as FRUs, MV transformers, MV switchgear, electronic boards, AC and DC fuses, fans, and filters.
• Complete on-time daily field reports capturing time and work completed on site.
• Manage inventory parts assigned to the Technician for fieldwork.
• Care for company property including vehicle, tools, electronic devices, and PPEs.
• Follow procedures to provide maintenance to inverters.
• Update software and hardware as needed.
• Attend to warranty claim service tickets.
• Follow procedures for Safe Start and Safe Stop protocols.
• Perform physical installations including connections and wiring.
• Complete Layer 1 tasks as required.
• Adhere to Safety and Training policies.
• Complete Expense Reports as necessary.
• Travel based on operational demands.
