The Electrical Helper assists in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems at construction sites and customer facilities. This role supports licensed electricians and supervisors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and codes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Dependable, honest, and detail-oriented.
  • Willingness and ability to work in fast-paced and varied industrial environments.
  • Available to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as required.
  • Must maintain a good and insurable driving record if operating company vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist electricians in assembling, installing, and maintaining conduit systems, including aluminum, PVC-coated, GRC, IMC, stainless steel, and PVC.
  • Use saws, drills, impact tools, and pipe threaders to cut, thread, and install conduit per specifications and NEC requirements.
  • Aid in connecting and installing electrical components under the supervision of licensed personnel.
  • Review and learn to interpret blueprints and diagrams to support accurate installation.
  • Participate in overall job site clean-up daily and at completion of the project.
  • Work in compliance with all company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Operate forklifts and personnel lifts as required. (Training for this will be provided to the employee).
  • Travel as required
