About The Position

Arc is building 100% electric boats from the ground up, aiming to provide a better boating experience that is quicker, quieter, easier to maintain, and better for the environment. We are looking for a summer intern to join our Electrical Hardware Engineering team from June 15th to August 21st, 2025. This role will report to the Manager of Electrical Hardware Engineering and will be based at our headquarters in Torrance, CA. The intern will work in a fast-moving, dynamic environment that requires adaptability and a passion for our mission.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, targeting graduation in 2028 or earlier.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, LTspice, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with electronics testing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate progress and status of your work.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting schematic capture, PCB layout, and design documentation for new and existing hardware.
  • Testing and validating electrical assemblies through bench bring-up, measurements, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborating with engineers to prototype, debug, and iterate on circuit designs and system integrations.
