Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design and development, especially in battery and fuel cell applications.
  • Proficiency in electrical circuit design and analysis, and experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE).
  • Extensive experience with CAD tools for circuit design (e.g., Altium, OrCAD).
  • Proven ability to optimize circuit designs for manufacturing and commercialize them in high-demand industries.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant industry standards and agency approvals (UL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with battery systems—particularly those used in motive power applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design and development, especially in battery and fuel cell applications.
  • Hands-on experience in the automotive or industrial sector.
  • Certifications in electrical engineering or systems engineering.
  • In-depth experience with battery management systems and fuel cell technologies.
  • Experience designing high-voltage systems (>60V) and implementing robust protection mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with UL 2267 or UL2580 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for fuel cell and battery applications, ensuring seamless performance and reliability.
  • Define component specifications and work closely with vendors to select and integrate critical electrical subsystem components into our products.
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to design and validate electrical circuit designs (schematics and PCB layouts) for fuel cell and battery management systems.
  • Develop prototypes, conduct rigorous testing, and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues to improve reliability and efficiency while optimizing designs for manufacturing.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specs, test plans, and analysis reports.
  • Collaborate across functions—mechanical engineers, software developers, test engineers, and more—to ensure smooth system integration.
  • Support functional safety engineers with risk and safety analysis documentation (FMEDA, FTA, S/DFMEA).
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
