About The Position

As an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer, you will be a key part of a cross-functional team responsible for designing complex and mission-critical systems. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all program phases, including requirements analysis, system power schematic and interconnect design, cabling and wire harness design and routing activities, and supporting the manufacturing, integration & test, and qualification of the hardware system. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and customers to develop systems that meet their high expectations. In this role, you will primarily support the Land and Airborne Systems business area developing mission computers, sensor processors, and communication network systems, with opportunities to work across GDMS. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: designing AC/DC System level Power distribution schematics and Signal Interconnects, cabling and wiring harness designs using MS Visio. Circuit breaker scheduling and system load balancing of Single-phase and 3PH power systems. Power and Signal cabling and Wire Run List design. VPX backplane connectivity design. Working knowledge of lab equipment including oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testers. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program
