The General Foreman is a non-working supervisor responsible for the overall management of the electrical and systems construction elements of C3M projects including, but not limited to, craft planning, scheduling, quality assurance and safety. This role is primarily a Washington DC position, however traveling and interacting with multiple project teams across various locations throughout the U.S. is also available. Responsibilities Collaborate with owners, customers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that projects meet all necessary requirements. Maintain positive personal contact and relationships with management, staff,craft and the local unions Supervise and manage all aspects of onsite construction activities for all trades to ensure project(s) is (are) constructed in accordance with contract documents, budget and schedule. May include interfacing with client representatives, Architect and Engineer representatives, subcontractors, and other contractors, etc. Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions for all subcontractor trades includes (safety oversight, scheduling, quality, etc.). Create and implement site logistics plans. Develop and execute project schedules and budgets while ensuring that the projects meet all safety and quality standards in coordination with C3M Project Management teams. Ensures that all activities are consistent with project plans, policies and procedures Supervise project foremen, craft employees, and/or subcontractors as required by the contract. Appropriately resolve project related disputes with craft personnel Reports issues to the General Superintendent and/or designated staff regarding construction performance, workload status, potential legal issues and potential opportunities Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Ability to identify conflicts between trades during shop drawing and submittal process. Plan and specification coordination with architects, engineers and our project management team. Provide input to assist project management in developing and implementing site specific safety plans, overall critical path project schedule and individual subcontractor work plans. Drive three week look ahead schedule process with all subcontractor trades. Conducting regular safety inspections and enforcing compliance. Tracking all subcontractor critical purchases and delivery dates to prevent project delays. Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, and recommend/implement corrective actions as required. Ability to identify and mitigate risks related to safety, schedule, quality, and budget for C3M’s work and all trades. Understanding all scopes and contracts related to subcontractors’ work. Ability to identify scope gaps and avoid cost overruns. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
