About The Position

Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate and dedicated adjunct faculty for the College of Engineering and Technology. Our faculty are committed to engaging and mentoring students, preparing them for the evolving fields of IT and Engineering. We are looking for energetic advisors who can help students grow academically, spiritually, and personally. This position offers the opportunity to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction at our Phoenix campus, specifically for the course 'Electrical Foundations' during the Fall 2025 Semester. The course will cover safe working procedures, electrical safety, electrical charge and current, electrical circuits, and wiring techniques used in commercial installations.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Wireman OR Licensed Electrician with a minimum of ten years' field experience
  • Preferred: Associate degree (or higher) and Journeyman Wireman

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
