About The Position

The Electrical Foreman will oversee and manage electrical projects in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. They will lead a team of electricians to ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Completion of an apprenticeship program and Journeyman Electrician certification
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, and/or residential electrical installation and repair
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Familiarity with PLC controls and Relay Logic preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and codes and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Familiarity with a variety of electrical tools and equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, if required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, monitor and coordinate the activities of electricians and apprentices on job sites
  • Develop project timelines and allocate resources effectively adjusting schedules as needed for changes to project
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems
  • Install and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels
  • Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and provide solutions
  • Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the root cause of electrical issues
  • Document troubleshooting processes and outcomes for future reference
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards in all work
  • Collaborate with other trades professionals, such as HVAC technicians or plumbers, as needed
  • Communicate with clients to understand their electrical needs and provide recommendations
  • Coordinate and meet with other divisions to ensure seamless workflow
  • Train and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and enforce all safety protocols and procedures
