About The Position

The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all electrical construction activities on assigned projects. This leadership role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local ordinances, and company standards. The Foreman is accountable for jobsite performance, crew supervision, material management, quality control, documentation, and overall project execution.

Requirements

  • Current valid State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License (or acceptable license as determined by the company)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Physically able to perform jobsite duties
  • Drug-free workplace compliance
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical construction practices
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct field electricians and independent contractors.
  • Coordinate daily work activities to maintain project schedules.
  • Inspect work to ensure quality standards and code compliance.
  • Resolve conflicts with other trades through coordination with the General Contractor.
  • Enforce jobsite professionalism and company policies.
  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with NEC and local ordinances.
  • Maintain organized, squared, level, and professional installations.
  • Ensure panels are labeled and systems are thoroughly hot-tested.
  • Prevent red tags by maintaining strict quality standards.
  • Complete job checklists for each project phase.
  • Maintain project prints, job books, and related documents in usable condition.
  • Redline circuitry and as-built information; submit completed as-builts at project completion.
  • Document contract deviations and changes.
  • Complete time sheets, track overtime, and manage labor efficiency.
  • Follow sub-draw schedules and submit required documentation for payment approvals.
  • Order materials at least 48 hours in advance and limit orders per phase.
  • Verify and check in deliveries upon receipt.
  • Maintain organized, secure storage of materials and equipment.
  • Account for all company-issued materials and equipment.
  • Report missing, damaged, or defective materials immediately with documentation.
  • Return excess materials for credit when applicable.
  • Maintain accountability for all company tools and equipment.
  • Report damaged or defective equipment.
  • Ensure tools are stored securely and organized.
  • Schedule shared equipment appropriately.
  • Ensure company electronics are used strictly for business purposes.
  • Maintain a clean and professional jobsite.
  • Enforce job courtesy standards (no smoking, no radios, no damage to finished surfaces, etc.).
  • Secure jobsite upon departure (lock doors, turn off lights if last to leave).
  • Protect materials and installations from theft or damage.
  • Ensure T-Poles are properly braced, labeled, and GFI-protected (tested monthly).
  • Ensure independent contractors adhere to schedules and company standards.
  • Inspect contractor work daily.
  • Ensure contractor work is 100% complete before sub-draw submission.
  • Verify required documentation and phase check sheets are completed.
