The Electrical Foreman is primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating all the workings at a job site including that of a crew of electricians, technicians, apprentices, and pre-apprentices. The Foreman I will establish and adjust work timelines to meet the construction schedule for the project and organize and coordinate all project materials and equipment. The Foreman I will also ensure that all work installed is completed in accordance with the standards set forth by Suburban Electric—all work will be completed on budget, on time, and in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. This team member demonstrates understanding and enthusiastic agreement with the vision and core values of Suburban Enterprises.

  • Manage small to medium size projects as defined by Suburban, often leading crews of 2-5 team members.
  • Work with 'tools on' only after assuring crew is organized and productive. Work alone for portions of a project.
  • Actively prepare for and attend kick-off meetings to thoroughly understand scope of work.
  • Work in conjunction with AM, SUP and PM to plan all aspects of project prior to starting on site.
  • Install all electrical equipment and material per the project’s requirements, National Electrical Code, and the requirements of state and local authorities. Ensure the quality of workmanship for these installations.
  • Promote and foster activities to obtain employee satisfaction, morale, communication, commitment, teamwork, and pride.
  • Promote a positive customer relationship by maintaining a professional, courteous, and helpful disposition when communicating with a customer, general contractor or another subcontractor even during stressful situations.
  • Ensure the safety of team members by taking direct preventive measures, conducting effective safety meetings, and ensuring all related standards, rules, and laws are understood and followed.
  • Perform all necessary project documentation; Daily Logs, SMPs, etc.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum prior experience leading a portion of a large project or as a Foreman-In-Training.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience.
  • Must possess a State of WI Journeyman’s License.
  • Must possess a valid WI driver’s license.
  • Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or able to obtain certification shortly after the start date.
