About The Position

As an Estimator at Fisk Electric, reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for multiple systems on resort hotels, high-end retail, data centers, and F1 projects. You will participate in fully engineered estimates up to $5M and understand the concepts and process of conceptual estimates and budgets up to $1M. Your role will involve reviewing the scope specified within the proposal and ensuring estimates include appropriate scope, developing detailed cost estimates, and proactively identifying deficiencies and/or questions. You will assist the project team toward the answers, review contract documents and contract modifications to determine scope of work and equitable cost allowance for scope changes. Proficiency with estimating software and a working knowledge of McCormick and Bluebeam is required. Proven accuracy, reliability, and completeness in job accomplishment, along with effective oral and written communication skills, are essential. You will also review estimate take-offs and should have an understanding and familiarity with NEC.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management or similar is preferred
  • 2 or more years of electrical estimating experience
  • 2 or more years experience working for an electrical subcontractor
  • Computer literate and able to quickly master and apply department's computer systems and software
