About The Position

The Estimator is responsible for creating accurate electrical estimates in response to client Request for Proposals (RFPs). This role requires a comprehensive understanding of commercial construction and proficiency in various aspects of electrical contracting, including project management and customer interaction.

• Proficiency in electrical contracting
• Ability to analyze blueprints and specifications
• Experience in project management
• Strong customer interaction skills

Responsibilities

• Comprehend engineering plans and perform accurate take offs
• Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine labor and material costs
• Review proposal specifications and drawings to define work scope
• Consult with engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors for clarifications
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor requests for pricing
• Incorporate revisions and addendums into project documents
• Attend scope review meetings
• Participate in project handover meetings to field personnel
• Suggest process improvements (value engineering)
• Estimate and prepare change orders when required
• Prepare scope letters and proposals
