PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for commercial projects of all sizes Interpret blueprints, specifications, addendums, and RFP documents Utilize EBM or other electrical estimating software (Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, etc.) Perform thorough quantity takeoffs and material/labor analysis Request, organize, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes Maintain bid documentation, schedules, and project files Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and value engineering discussions Generate and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers Serve as a main point of contact for clients, GCs, and project managers Follow up on bids and track outcomes for future opportunities Support project managers during project handoff and startup Communicate clearly and professionally internally and externally REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Proven commercial electrical estimating experience Proficiency with EBM or equivalent estimating platforms Strong computer skills (Excel, PDF markup, digital file management) Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Professional communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and priorities PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Journeyman or Master Electrician background Experience estimating Restaurant, Retail, TI, ground-up, service upgrades, and design-build Understanding of NECA labor units and construction scheduling Existing vendor and contractor relationships in the Iowa market (not required) COMPENSATION Competitive salary range based on experience 85-100K Performance-based bonus opportunities Full benefits package available 401K Company Match Paid Vacation Company Vehicle
