About The Position

IES Residential is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic estimating team. This in-office role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects through accurate cost estimation and collaboration with our team. Experience in Multi-Family projects is a strong plus!

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation techniques.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
• License Required Yes

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, with a focus on Multi-Family developments.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and budgets.
• Source and negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to develop competitive estimates.
• Review and analyze historical data to inform and refine estimation processes.
• Assist in preparing bid packages, including proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor industry trends, labor costs, and material pricing to maintain up-to-date and accurate estimates.
• Maintain clear and organized records of all estimates and supporting documentation.
