Responsibilities
- Manage the bid proposal process to determine scope of work for various projects
- Provide expertise to any bid-related presentations and proposals
- Calculate scope of work takeoffs to prepare estimates and bid proposals
- Review design options and provide solutions based on cost, engineering and materials
- Support all areas of the business related to estimates and job-costing
- Develop and maintain working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and vendors
Requirements
- Working knowledge of contract documents, including blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Strong familiarity with construction and industry practices, processes, and standards
- Ability to recognize errors or inconsistencies with project-related costs and scope
- Professional communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Accubid estimating software experience a plus
- Good detail orientation and organizational skills
- Adaptable to change in a fast-pace environment
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years combined electrical and estimating experience
