About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Houston, TX. This role involves overseeing the estimation for commercial electrical projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience (Minimum 5 years) as an Electrical Estimator in commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards (NEC, NFPA, etc.).
• Proficiency in estimating software (EBM preferred, not required).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Valid electrical license or journeyman/master certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate electrical cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, conduit, wiring, and low-voltage systems.
• Prepare labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates in line with project scope and deadlines.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope, resolve discrepancies, and ensure alignment on project requirements.
• Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with project specifications.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, unit pricing, and historical data for estimating accuracy and efficiency.
