Raytheon is seeking electrical engineers with knowledge of analog electronics, power electronics, power systems and servo/motor control systems. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of design, product and production support experience, electronics knowledge, and hands-on laboratory skills. Raytheon analog and power design, product and production support engineering occurs in following areas: Power System Design - Power System Noise, System Simulation and Modeling, Solid State Transmitters, Tube Transmitters, High Voltage Design, Power Sources, Generators Power Conversion - AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC, Linear and Switching Supplies, Power Factor Correction (PFC), Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS), Resonant Circuits, Synchronization, Noise Controls Power Distribution - Ground, Air, Shipboard, and Space, Power Generation, Line Voltage, High Current, Low Voltage, Micro-Power, DC, AC, Multi-Phase Power Control, Fault Reporting, Isolation, Protection Circuits, Redundant Systems Power Sub-System Design - Filters, Harmonic Control, EMI, Circuit Simulation, Magnetics, Protective Relay Systems, Short Circuit and Stress Analyses Control Systems – Servo Control Systems, Motor/Power/Process Control, Digital Feedback Systems, Command Generation, Inertial Stabilization, Navigation Algorithms This is an onsite position at one of the following Massachusetts locations - Tewksbury, Andover, Woburn or Marlborough. Location assignments will be made based on business or program need.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Education or Work experience in one of the following areas: Analog Electronics, Power Electronics/Systems, Power Distribution or Control Systems
  • Experience with modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer-based tools
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Hardware development experience
  • Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power system components
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a team of engineers to develop designs based on requirements, operational specifications, and Raytheon guidelines
  • Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document analog and power design products.
  • Provide support to production, integration, and test activities
  • Gain greater mastery of analog and power engineering design
  • Demonstrate self-motivation
  • Travel to Marlborough, MA; Tewksbury, MA; Andover, MA; Woburn, MA; and/or Pelham, NH may be required depending on the assignment.
