About The Position

As an Electrical Engineering Technician 3, you will play a critical role in the assembly, testing, and validation of electro-mechanical systems and medical devices. You will work closely with engineering teams to support product development, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. This position requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate specialized lab equipment.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in an electronics related field
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated technical expertise and application of mechanical, electrical, or metrology theory related to medical devices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation
  • Excellent practical knowledge of EE lab equipment, such as digital multi-meters, programmable power supplies, signal generators, data logging equipment, as well as specialized battery and EMC test tools
  • Experience soldering electrical components
  • Experience with test software (LabView, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management software (Agile)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with medical devices preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test electro-mechanical hardware
  • Support electrical engineering by testing analog and digital circuits using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and waveform generators
  • Set up, operate, and monitor medical devices per the System Operator Manual
  • Develop, document, and validate test methods for complex projects
  • Execute test plans and collect data using specialized lab equipment, including: Instron, Thermal chamber, Sound chamber, Battery tester, EMC test equipment
  • Maintain and operate pneumatic-controlled test fixtures
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contributing to decision-making on critical projects
  • Maintain accurate data collection and entry with integrity
  • Assist in training, procedural documentation, and best practices for medical device development
  • Ensure R&D lab safety compliance
