About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Firmware Architect to lead the design and development of next-generation semiconductor metrology platforms. This role requires deep expertise in system-level architecture, high-voltage electronics, precision analog/mixed-signal design, and embedded firmware development. You will play a critical role in translating complex system requirements into robust, manufacturable, and testable solutions while collaborating across hardware, firmware, software, and system engineering teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of industry experience in electrical hardware design and development
  • Strong background in Analog and mixed-signal circuit design; Digital systems and FPGA design; Microcontroller-based system design
  • Deep understanding of PCBA design, layout, DFM, and DFT; High-voltage and low-noise design techniques; Control systems and system stability
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer (schematic & layout); Circuit simulation tools (PSpice or equivalent); Lab instrumentation (oscilloscope, signal generator, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills (FMEA preferred)
  • Experience with verification, validation, and test strategy development
  • Familiarity with automated test development (Python, C#)
  • Embedded C programming and firmware architecture design
  • Experience designing microcontroller-based systems using ARM Cortex devices, including peripheral architecture and integration (GPIO, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, ADC, DAC, comparators, PWM, timers, DMA)
  • Knowledge of firmware testing methodologies, field firmware update mechanisms (e.g., bootloaders, IAP, OTA), and revision control practices
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Architect the electrical systems for next-generation semiconductor metrology platforms, with a focus on high-voltage power systems, integrating analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuit design.
  • Lead and oversee the complete PCBA development lifecycle, including requirements, architectural concept, design, simulation, prototyping, validation, and release to manufacturing.
  • Define and enforce design standards, noise budgets estimation, and validation protocols, ensuring robust performance, documentation and traceability.
  • Serve as a technical authority, mentoring engineers and guiding cross-functional teams through complex design challenges.
  • Collaborate with senior technical leads, scientists, and stakeholders to align product development with strategic goals and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
