Lincoln Electric's Vanair facility in Michigan City, IN is looking for bright, driven engineering individuals to join our Engineering Internship Program—designed to connect your academic foundation with real-world, hands-on experience. As a participant, you'll Be the Linc between your education and a future in advanced manufacturing, innovation, and engineering leadership.

Requirements

• Pursuing or having achieved a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Eligible to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• An engineering degree in any of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or any related engineering technology.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and improvement of vehicle-mounted air compressors, generators, welders, and other custom products.
• Gain practical experience through guided instruction and real-world applications.
• Participate in software configuration using Python programming.
• Utilize programming software to run product simulations.
• Change and update code in the telematics portal.
• Design products and specifications.
• Prototype and test products.
