As a global leader in Stainless Steel, we're seeking an Electrical Engineering Specialist to be part of our Cold Rolling Works Maintenance team in Calvert, Mobile County, Alabama. The objective of this role is to define opportunities for improvement, measure key parameters, analyze acquired data, implement chosen solutions, and control processes to verify the implementation of these solutions. The Electrical Specialist will utilize various tools such as process data acquisition systems, surveys, and statistical control, along with their technical expertise, to enhance safety, quality, reliability, efficiency, and productivity.   • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, reliability, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with Process and Mechanical Engineers, Shift Leaders, Team Members, and other departments to identify improvements and implement coordinated solutions.
  • Facilitate the identification and/or implementation of Best Practices.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement across all teams.
  • Troubleshoot problems in the electrical systems with the electrical maintenance and production teams.
  • Employ a systematic approach to solving problems including root cause analysis, corrective actions implementation, and evaluation of results.
  • Provide technical guidance to the electrical maintenance and production teams.
  • Develop and deliver training in relevant areas of expertise.
  • Create preventive and predictive programs for area-related equipment.
  • Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe Job Analysis (SJAs), and Work Instructions (WIs) for the Annealing & Pickling area.
  • Develop Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for related area equipment.
  • Maintain environmental and safety compliance requirements.
  • Administer electrical technical documents and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Plan manpower and resource allocations related to electrical systems and activities, ensuring spare components/parts are accurately recorded on the Planned Maintenance software.
  • Perform any other activities that may be required or requested to support the business.
  • High School diploma with 15 years of experience within the engineering discipline.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Proven experience as a manufacturing electrical engineer.
  • Knowledge in programming and troubleshooting in PLC Siemens S7/PCS7 WinCC and Allen Bradley.
  • Experience in calibration and troubleshooting in instrumentation for flow, temperature, pressure, and weighing systems.
  • Repair and troubleshooting for drives, motors, MCCs, and breakers for low and medium voltage.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft-based programs; SAP/PM or other maintenance management systems preferred.
