About The Position

As an Electrical Engineering Specialist Intern at SEL, you will provide technical support and solutions to help protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems globally. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies that enhance the power grid's efficiency and safety, while also gaining valuable real-world experience in a supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) degree or relevant discipline.
  • Experience in programming and scripting files.
  • Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems.
  • Working knowledge of emulators and logic analyzers.
  • Proficiency with MS Windows and serial port terminal emulation software.
  • Practical knowledge of SEL protective relays and automation controllers.
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to SEL staff and customers.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and technologies.
  • Perform tests on new and existing technology.
  • Document and communicate test results.
